Q: Hi everyone, I'm going to be a ninth grader this year and I can't choose between two electives. I'm either going to take introduction to marketing or accounting. I really have no idea which one to take, so if you guys could give me your opinions on what to choose that would be great. thank you so much!
A: Accounting. Basic accounting should be a requirement; it's more relevant to every day life than algebra, geometry and higher level math. Accounting will always hold you in good stead; even if you don't pursue a job in that area, the skills and concepts are important to any business as well as personal finance. Good luck!
