Someone who got fired from my office is retaliating. Can anything be done?

Q: Someone in my office who was recently fired is now calling up co-workers and informing them of what their boss said about the co-workers and colleagues. This is very bad, what is being said. What is worse is it is true as it is information that only the boss could have known. Also, she went to a company that has a contract with us and is telling THEM what has been said about key players by the boss. Can anything legally be done? It is being done anonymously, however, the damage being done points to only one person.

A: Depends if your co had a non disclosure agreement...Still not that good of protection. Maybe your boss shouldn't have said anything to this person in the first place.
