Q: Okay what are some jobs for teenagers that would hire within a couple of weeks? No babysitting or anything like that. It has to be a real job. I can go to area technical school to become a CNA for 4 elective credits or i can do work release. Which i need to save money for college and this would be the best opportunity. So if i went and applied and explained my situation what kind of jobs do you think will hire me ASAP? I am 17 and live in kansas city kansas if that matter Please don't misunderstand me. I probably won't go to get my CNA. Because i want to become a Pediatric Nurse. But for my alternative high school i need to find a job within 2 weeks to be gauranteed to get 4 elective credits next semester. Otherwise i am stuck at ATS trying to become a CNA. A: I believe CNA = Certified Nurse Assistant? You might try assisted living facilities. Even if you need to be 18 and certified to work with residents, you may work in the dining hall. When my grandmother lived at an assisted living place, the servers brought plates and got drinks. It was much more than waitressing, it was chatting and making the place warm and friendly and safe. It sounds like you're looking to get money coming in quickly, so that's why I suggested this, plus it's health care related. Another option is to talk with temporary agencies, many can send you to work the next day. Try to avoid ones that charge you a fee though.
